Use AI to Boost Your Thought Leadership

By invitation only.

Time is in ET.

Use AI to Boost Your Thought Leadership is designed for those who have previously participated in our Thought-leadership Writing Incubator program (TLWI).

During this three hour workshop, we’ll review concepts previously learned such as The Story Framing System. And, you’ll watch a live edit of one participant’s article. Additionally, we’ll do brainstorming, including freewriting, chartifying, mindmapping, getting interviewed, and list-making.

Course Benefits:

  • Refresh your thought-leadership writing skills

  • Experiment with AI for generating unique and original thought-leadership articles

Meet fellow TWLI participants and work with experienced journalists and AI experts to understand what generative AI is and how it can quickly improve your thought-leadership writing.

This is the second season of the TLWI Advanced course. For those who participated before, Some exercises may be repeated, but there will be lots of new ideas to explore. You’re encouraged to join again!.

To ensure a productive learning experience, please note the following requirements:

1. Attendance in Fall ’22, Winter ’23, Fall ‘23 and Winter ‘24 Thought-leadership Writing Incubator.
2. Availability to stay for the entire workshop from 11 AM to 2 PM ET, on March 16, 2024.
3. Draft Writing Material: Bring a draft article, speech, or opinion piece that you are currently working on. This will serve as the basis for our experimentation and discussions during the course. If you are part of the ongoing writing incubator, ensure that the draft you bring is NOT related to any articles you are currently writing within the incubator. You may choose previously published pieces for experimentation. This is to align with our agreement not to use AI on articles created within the current incubator.
4. Access to ChatGPT: Make certain you have access to either ChatGPT 3.4 (free ) or 4.0 (paid ). This is essential for the practical exercises and AI-powered discussions throughout the course.
5. Ability to record, and ability to generate a transcript from that recording within 5 minutes.

We will be generating ideas and getting them out of our heads, in some cases through interviews.

You need to have the following capability ready to go:
Step 1: Record yourself or your interview partner on any recording device (such as a mobile phone)
Step 2: Get that recording off of the device and into a transcription engine (example Descript)
Step 3: Transcribe the recording

All of this is possible in about 5 minutes if you’ve done it before. Please take time before our class to make sure you’re set up.

Example from Rhea’s process:
-Record me and/or my interview partner on an Olympus device
-Connect by cable to my machine
-Drag the audio file to Descript
-Initiate a transcript on Descript.

It does not really matter how you get the transcript, but please figure this out before the workshop. We don’t want to lose time with the technology side.

6. Commitment to a constructive learning environment and exploration of how AI can support thought-leadership writing.

I am very excited about this time we have to work together and all the ideas you will bring.

See you there! Rhea

Please note: AI is a practical tool for marketing copywriting. However, this course does not focus on marketing copywriting.
