HAE India Founders Salon – Opportunities & Challenges in EV Startups

This event is co-hosted by the Stanford India Club (North and East) and is open to Stanford Alumni.

HAE India hosts monthly meetings open to qualified attendees. These live networking sessions bring together our community in a compact 60-minute format focused on Founders.  

This week’s discussion will focus on Electric Vehicles Startups and will include knowledge sharing by three guest speakers from the battery, 2W and 4W spaces.

You’ll introduce yourself, meet new people with shared interests, reconnect with old friends, and learn something new. You can also join the Founders group on HAE Connect to continue the conversation and more networking. HAE Connect is exclusively for HAE members.

Rajat Verma has over 18 years as an entrepreneur and investor in technology. He started his career with an enterprise software startup that was eventually acquired by Hewlett Packard. Since then, he has founded several companies and also mentored and invested in several startups. A pioneer in electronic waste management, Rajat has brought several solutions across the eWaste value chain to the market across India, US and GCC. Rajat pursued his college from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, his MS from Stanford University and later completed his MBA from Harvard Business School. He was on the Dean's merit list across all the aforementioned academic institutions.

 Punit K Goyal is the co-founder at BluSmart, India's first and largest zero-emission ride-hailing service and platform with a mission to build mobility that is smarter, safer, cleaner and more sustainable for a better future. Since launching, Since launch, BluSmart has completed 500,000 all-electric trips and covered 16 million clean kms across Gurgaon and Delhi NCR. Punit’s experience in the clean-energy world spans almost a decade, previously serving as CEO and Founder of  PLG Power Limited and Cofounder and Advisor at PLG Clean Energy Projects. Punit is nationally recognized for his work in the clean energy field and has been awarded a “40 under 40 Top Business Leaders” in the Clean Energy Industry, and awarded ''India’s 100 Most Powerful Leaders'' in the Solar Energy Industry.

Aishwarya Kachhal is the Founder of Ghoom.bike, an electric vehicle and battery subscription platform incubated at the Harvard Innovation Lab.

Ghoom.bike has given access to clean personal mobility to more than 10,000 people in India.

Aishwarya’s professional experience is at the intersection of technology, and business that make basic human needs like transportation, communication and loans more affordable, accessible and sustainable. In his career he has been the founding team member of Indus Towers & Yes Bank . He is now building a business that is creating newer markets in ownership, energy as a service and electric vehicles.

Aishwarya is Co-Chair HBS Alumni Angels India and is on the investment committee of the seed fund at IIT Delhi’s incubator.

Aishwarya dropped out of the MBA program at London Business School , and is a PLD alumnus of Harvard Business School. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Crisil Young Thought Leader Award.
